A publicity video for this year's Rio Olympic Games has been shown at Times Squares in New York City.

The 52-second film, named "For Rio, For Real", was produced by China's Xinhua News Agency. It features a collection of spectacular Olympic moments captured by Xinhua photographers.

The video started airing on Wednesday and will be played 96 times a day in the leadup to the Rio Games, which will open on August 5.

Many tourists say they have been impressed by the video.

An eight-year-old New York boy surnamed Brandon said he has high expectations about the Rio Games after watching the promotional film.

"It will be my first time watching the Olympic Games this year, and I'm very excited," said Brandon. "I like diver David Boudia, and I hope he can have a good result."

A tourist from Sweden also said he wanted to see more world records to be broken.
