Hundreds of new moms in Fuzhou, Southeast China's Fujian province have taken part in a breastfeeding-themed campaign, raising awareness of public breastfeeding.
Despite scientific evidences that breastfed children grow up with a stronger immune system, the latest stats show only around 28 percent of new mothers in China breastfeed their babies.
This is significantly lower than the 80 percent rate seen in countries such as the United States and Japan.
