Planet Zero-carbon Resort from Anji county, Zhejiang province, and the crowdfunding platform of online retailer JD recently announced a crowdfunding program called "the commitment of love" in JD's headquarters in Beijing.

"Love gifts have three characteristics — blessing, commitment and ceremony. The crowdfunding project has all of that, aiming to commemorate one's love," said Chen Shuo, CEO of Zero Carbon System, a low-carbon architectural company based in Shanghai.

People can get gifts such as Swarovski crystals and couple rings, depending on the amount of money they donate. They are invited to share their love stories on social media and get blessings from friends. If the donor is still with one's sweetheart after one year, they will receive awards such as coupons from the resort.

The company started the project on May 18. As of June 15, more than 360,000 people had joined the event and raised 880,000 yuan ($133,000).

Chen said they will build a Love Museum in Tonglu county, Zhejing province, together with their new resort. Names of all the donors' and their sweethearts will be carved on the museum's walls.

It will provide high-end customized love gifts to those who are in a relationship and showcase several donors' love stories. It will also offer consultation and services such as helping one to prepare for a proposal.
