Migas restaurant will celebrate the transition to autumn fare next month with a week of events with guest Spanish butcher Jose Carmon. From curing sausages to breaking down a whole hog, Carmon will share insights with local and amateur chefs at a free 3:30 pm master class on Sept 28 (reservations strongly recommended). He is also teaming up with Migas' chef Aitor Olabegoya to create a menu of specials that feature his craft from Sept 29 to Oct 2, available at lunch and dinner while they last and priced from 48 yuan.

Midnight snack

The Rug in Beijing's Sanlitun area has launched a midnight barbecue series from Thursdays to Saturdays. Look for a variety of seven different sliders plus new kebabs, desserts, cocktails and more. Pick two items for 69 yuan or three for 99.
