Beijing takes social media route to promote TCM to foreigners

Ten foreigners who have significant influence in their social media circles, spanning Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram, gathered in Beijing's Tianyang Valley on Dec 1 to experience traditional Chinese medicine.
At the event they experienced TCM massages, acupuncture, hot spring treatments and watched a tai chi performance.
The event was sponsored by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development and organized by China's biggest online travel agency Ctrip. It is part of a campaign to showcase TCM to foreign visitors.
Meanwhile, Ctrip has launched TCM tours on its website
Beijing has a lot of TCM tourism resources, and there are 35 sites to experience TCM in the capital as of now.
