Third Month Fair of Dali

Date: April 10 -16, 2009 (15 - 21^st of the third month by lunar calendar)

Venue: Dali Old Town, Dali Prefecture

Third Month Fair of Bais is a traditional ethnic fair with thousands of years’ history as well as an annual grand festival for people of various ethnic groups of Dali Prefecture for folk art and sports communication. During the festival, there will be traditional folk sports competitions like horse racing, dragon boat racing and swinging as well as Daben Ballad Singing, Dongjing (cave scripture) Music and ethnic singing and dancing.
