Pu'er City is one of the centers for origin of tea trees in the world, the world-famous hometown of Pu'er tea and the important starting point of the Tea-Horse Road. During Pu'er Tea Festival, in addition to tea trade, there is the opening ceremony and large-scale performance themed on tea culture, nationwide ethnic tea art competition, nationwide high quality tea appraisal and tea culture sightseeing. It is a festival integrating tea art show, ethnic customs exhibition, sightseeing of natural scenery and trade negotiation.
