Supermodel Cindy Crawford has admitted that at the age of 40, her stunning beauty is not just thanks to good genes.

The moled model, who has two children, says lotions and potions only work to a certain extent as you grow older, ContactMusic reports.

She reportedly told Gala magazine: 'I'm not going to lie to myself: past a certain age, creams work on the texture of you skin but, in order to restore elasticity, all I can really count on is vitamin injections, Botox and collagen.'

Cindy candidly added: 'I owe the quality of my skin to a cosmetic surgeon.'

It is not the first time that Cindy has admitted that it takes a lot of hard work to get her model looks.

She once told People magazine: 'Even I don't look like Cindy Crawford in the morning.'
