If you thought that the dress you were wearing was created by British supermodel Kate Moss, then you might be in for a bit of a shock, for it seems that she was not in the designerĄ¯s boots after all.

Moss had been signed on by Topshop boss Sir Philip Green back in September to design her own collection for a reported 3 million pounds fee.

However, it seems that the real brains behind the clothes is not the model but her best friend Katy England -- the creative director of the Alexander McQueen fashion label and fashion director of Another Magazine, reports the Daily Mail.

As for Sir Green, well he won't be having such an easy time answering about selling clothes designed by England to the millions of teenage girls who thought that they were actually buying a Kate Moss design.

England's involvement also has people buzzing that this was the reason why the Topsho's brand director Jane Shepherdson -- ranked by the trade magazine Drapers in 2005 as the most powerful woman in British fashion -- resigned just two weeks after Moss, after almost 20 years with the fashion store.
