Harry Potter fans will soon get to experience the magic of the fantasy novel series at Universal Studios' amusement park in Orlando, Florida.

Studio bosses are in talks to finalize a deal to build Harry Potter World that will have games and rides based on the plots in JK Rowling's bestseller series.

The studio is expecting the venture to be a success because of the astounding worldwide sale of 325 million copies of the Potter books, and the 2 billion pounds grossing of four films that have been based on the British author's novels, reports the Sun.

As early as 2005, Walt Disney Co. was said to have wanted to create a Harry Potter theme park in Singapore. At that time, the company was reportedly in talks with J.K Rowling and Warner Bros. to acquire rights, but the project never took off.

Universal is also planning a similar theme park based on the Simpsons at the park, which is the third largest in America.
