Development plan approved for NE China rust belt
The State Council has approved a plan to revive the old industrial base in Northeast China during the 13th Five-Year Plan period.
The plan was submitted by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), aimed at steering the rust belt toward a new path of high-quality, effective and reasonably structured development based on its advantages.
The State Council urged authorities in the provinces of Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, and Inner Mongolia autonomous region to advance the reform and ensure that targets are reached on schedule.
