Chairmen of Jilin and Zhejiang Provincial People's Political Consultative Conference, Huang Yanming and Qiao Chuanxiu, held a meeting with each other to establish a consultation and cooperation mechanism on March 5 during a break of the group discussion period of the Fifth Session of the 12th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Huang and Qiao exchanged their views on cooperation regarding the promotion of Jilin's products in Zhejiang's markets, constructing significant infrastructure, and building industrial platforms to achieve win-win situations.

Meanwhile, Zhejiang entrepreneurs are encouraged to invest in Jilin and Jilin cadres will be selected to take training courses in Zhejiang province.

According to a suggestion on the revitalization of the Northeast rust belt released in September, 2017, by the State Council of the People's Republic of China, Jilin and Zhejiang province should set up a cooperative mechanism to help breathe new life into Northeast industrial bases.

More than 20 departments of Jilin government had already visited Zhejiang to negotiate cooperative affairs this February.
