A conference was held in Changchun on March 16 by Jilin deputies who attended the two sessions to promote the main issues discussed during the national conferences to more Jilin officials.

Jilin's Party secretary, Bayin Chaolu, hosted the meeting.

He stressed that Jilin should seize the chance of the new round of revitalization to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of its economy.

He also mentioned that overcoming poverty is important for improving people's happiness.

Also present at the meeting were Liu Guozhong, governor of Jilin province; Huang Yanming, chairman of the CPPCC Jilin Provincial Committee, and other officials newly returned from the two sessions.
