The media group of "Jilin Through the Eyes of Overseas Chinese Media" came to Jilin Animation Institute on May 25 and experienced high-tech animation products and learned about the development of Jilin's animation industry.

Entering the teaching building, visitors saw a clear pool with a rippling water surface. It is actually an animated scene made on the corridor through AR technology.

Two projectors and a laser distance scanner were connected to computers installed with software that can make the water seem to have waves.

The institute offers professional skills in fields such as animation art, film, cartoons, advertising, design, as well as television and new media to cultivate talents in cultural innovation industries. Animation sculptures of the Frog Kingdom -- a cartoon film produced by the institute -- are placed on campus.

According to Liu Xin, the sculptures are intended to encourage students to offer their suggestions and to improve the quality of the future products.
