The 2017 China-Japan Economic Cooperation Conference was held in Changchun, capital of Jilin province, on Aug 28.
The conference was an important platform for promotion of trade between the two countries.
The conference included promotion events for equipment manufacturing, agriculture and food processing, and the modern service industry.
Liu Guozhong, governor of Jilin province, said this year's conference was focused on new cooperative projects, particularly those supporting revitalization of NE China.

Liu added that in successive recent years several leading Japanese enterprises had settled in Jilin. The volume of trade between Jilin and Japan is now Jilin's second largest by country. Meanwhile, Jilin cities have established sister cities with 16 Japanese prefectures.
Both facts show a promising future for bilateral cooperation.
About 110 delegates from Japanese enterprises such as Toyota, Mitsubishi Electricity and Fuji Electric and more than 200 NE China delegates attended the conference.
The conference was initiated by the government of Jilin, Heilongjiang and Liaoning provinces, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, the Japan-China Northeast China Development Association, and the Japan-China Economic Association.
