CPPCC members from Jilin province, delegates to the 12th Sessions of the Jilin Committee of the CPPCC, gathered in Changchun, capital of the province, on Jan 23.

In the following days, CPPCC members will discuss the government's working focus in 2018 and offer their suggestions to improve the development of the province.

A total of 510 CPPCC members from all parts of Jilin province will attend the sessions, 60 percent of whom are newly selected.

This year's sessions will be held at the Nanhu Hotel. CPPCC members need to register for the conferences via QR codes and then obtain the entry certificates and meeting materials.

This is the first time QR codes and WeChat have been used to send notices during the provincial sessions.

Lu Ye, a CPPCC member, said "Registration via the codes makes the process easier and faster. The WeChat group also helps us get accurate conference information in time."

Zou Lianhe is a new CPPCC member this year. "It is my honor to be a CPPCC member and I will focus on Jilin's economic growth during the sessions."

CPPCC member Cai Hongliang has been greatly concerned about environmental protection and progress in increasing livelihoods in the province.

"I will share people's voices at the conference and seek solutions with other members," Cai said.
