Self-driving trips have become the first choice for tourists from neighboring provinces. With friends, relatives and family members being a team, a one or two-day trip to Jilin has become a common choice, according to the committee.

Out of all the popular tourist attractions this year, the Chagan Lake scenic area received more than 311,000 visitors and made 274 million yuan ($39.59 million) in revenue over the seven-day holiday.
