Various foreign investors gathered to discuss the problems they encountered during business operations and offered their advice on promoting the development of local industries.

Jing Junhai, governor of Jilin province, attended the conference and delivered a speech on the significance of foreign funds in developing the northeastern province's economy.

A series of preferential policies and regulations have been implemented to bolster the sustainable development of traditional industries and encourage innovations in new industries, such as the emerging digital industry, according to Jing.

Various high-tech industrial parks, such as the Changchun New Area, have been established in Jilin province so as to provide an agreeable investment environment for foreign enterprises and upgrade the local industrial structure in recent years. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

The governor then stressed the province's determination to further decentralize its provincial power and streamline its government services so as to create an open and free investment environment for foreign enterprises. Also, modern facilities and infrastructures have been steadily constructed and have progressed in recent years.

"Jilin always welcomes foreign investors and their ideas with open arms," said Jing.
