A trade delegation from Northeast China's Jilin province is participating vigorously in the ongoing 3rd China International Import Expo (CIIE) in East China's Shanghai -- carrying out procurement talks, communications and promoting key investment projects in the province.

The Jilin trade delegation at CIIE is composed of one provincial trade group and 18 trade sub-groups. A total of 1,404 enterprises and 3,772 purchasers from Jilin have registered to attend the expo, which runs to Nov 10.

In order to participate in the expo to the highest level and with the highest efficiency, Jilin carefully prepared its plans in advance, organizing the activities of its businesses at the event.

Additionally, it identified enterprises in the fields of foreign trade, manufacturing, services -- as well in medicine, education, tourism, scientific research, culture and sports -- as key potential investment attraction targets.

Liaising with its key businesses, province officials found out the purchasing needs of local enterprises and linked that to information from exhibitors. In this way, it was able to help the two sides come together, through on-site communications, on-site and off-line matchmaking and procurement negotiations.

At the same time, Jilin trade delegation consolidated its existing economic and trade cooperation relations through visits and communications activities.

Jilin expanded cooperation and exchanges with Shanghai and promoted sales of high-quality Jilin goods in Shanghai and in the Yangtze River Delta region, leveraging the 2020 Jilin (Shanghai) food festival as a major opportunity.

The delegation also visited a number of well-known domestic enterprises, to promote some key investment projects.

In addition, Jilin set up a multi-functional exhibition area at the expo to display and promote the achievements and key projects of its automobile industry -- as well as its rail transit, aerospace, modern agriculture sectors and its ice and snow economy.
