Top esports event set to kick off in Changchun

The North China finals of the development league of the F1 Esports Series China Championship, which will kick off on Dec 18 in Changchun -- capital city of Northeast China's Jilin province -- will witness fierce battles between 10 teams, according to the organizers.
The F1 esports championship is a top platform for the world's top racing esports and it is the first time that the North China development league finals are being held in Changchun.
Since the event was officially launched on Sept 28, a total of 2,047 teams have gone through the tough auditions, rematches and the semi-finals.
The organizers said that to date, 40 teams have stood out from the online trials in the four sub-competition divisions. A total of 10 teams will compete for places in the national finals to be held later in Changchun.
