The Second National Ice and Snow Sports Competition for School Students kicked off at Changchun Ice and Snow New World in Changchun, Jilin province on Tuesday.
The opening ceremony attracted nearly 7,000, including athletes from across China, students and teachers from kindergartens, primary and middle schools in Changchun.
Dozens of sub-venues were also set up in kindergartens, primary, middle and senior high schools, and universities across the city.
At the ceremony, more than 3,000 teachers and students performed ice and snow aerobics, which was created in the city, to promote campus ice and snow sports and lead students to participate in them.

Additionally, a 512.6-meter ice slide in the park was certified by WRCA as the world's longest ice slide, and a 37.8-meter ice torch was certified the world's tallest ice torch.
