Jilin train attendant retires after 30 years of diligence
Wang Lizun is hard at it as usual on Feb 4, his last day of work and his 60th birthday to boot. Wang loved his job as a train attendant for the K338 train -- running between Changchun, capital of Northeast China's Jilin province and Ningbo city in East China's Zhejiang province. He was one of the first batch of attendants hired for the Changchun-Ningbo rail route, with its trains passing through 39 stations and running 2,824 kilometers. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]
Wang Lizun happily sits in his office. Over the past three decades, he has done everything from tending to passengers overcome by sudden illnesses, advancing train tickets to young people who failed to start a business, as well as helping out travelers doing business to successfully connect with business resources. His selfless dedication and natural helpfulness has seen him form close friendships with many passengers. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]
