Changchun overseas Chinese federation spreads Spring Festival cheer
Between Jan 28 and Feb 5, the Changchun Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese carried out visits to the families of overseas Chinese in difficulties, and to representatives of the overseas Chinese community, in order to wish them New Year blessings and bestow gifts.
A total of eight families of overseas Chinese in difficulties, 17 representatives of the overseas Chinese community, and five academicians of the overseas Chinese community were paid visits. They were given more than 20,000 yuan ($3,098).
Among the representatives of overseas Chinese family members was Guo Zhimin, a returned overseas Chinese who came back to China from Mongolia in 1960. Last year, her husband and son passed away due to illness, and her family was in a difficult situation.
Zhang Yuejie, president of the Changchun Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, inquired about her physical condition and living conditions in detail, and conveyed greetings and Spring Festival blessings from the Changchun Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese.
