Leaders of the Jilin Province Department of Culture and Tourism and Jilin Municipal People's Government welcomed a plane named "Winter Olympics Sports" to Changchun Longjia International Airport on March 4, according to local media reports.

The plane is said to be the second themed plane with colored illustrations designed by the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee and Air China. The Winter Games delegation arrived on the plane and were granted supreme medals and a team flag by the provincial government.

In order to facilitate the Beijing Winter Olympics and the Winter Paralympics in 2022, Jilin Province Department of Culture and Tourism and Jilin Municipal People's Government have organized a series of activities in which deputies of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, members of Air China and reporters from Beijing news media are invited to demonstrate ice and snow events to the public and experience the sports themselves.

Jilin has taken full advantage of its high-latitude location. Recent years have seen Jilin's dedicated commitment to its ice and snow industry. Measures have been taken to promote economic growth driven by ice and snow sport services and equipment. Jilin has been aiming to become a world-class ice and snow tourist destination.

Local sightseeing spots such as Songhua Lake Ski Resort, Changbai Mountain International Resort and the three major ski resorts of Jilin North Lake are frequented by skiing and skating lovers from around the nation.
