A discretionary security laptop production line officially went into operation in Changchun, Northeast China's Jilin province, on April 21, becoming the first production line of its kind in Northeast China.

The production line is located in China Greatwall (Jilin) Computer Intelligent Manufacturing Base, which was developed by China Greatwall Technology Group in Changchun New Area with an investment of 100 million yuan ($15.4 million).

It is expected to produce 300,000 discretionary security laptops annually.

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), Changchun New Area will focus on introducing new business forms and models such as 5G, blockchain, and industrial internet to create a modern industrial cluster with an output value of 50 billion yuan.

As their cooperation continues to deepen, Changchun New Area and China Greatwall Technology Group are steadily advancing the operation and construction of the Changchun branch of the Great Wall Innovation Research Institute.

The two parties will also jointly develop a cluster of innovative businesses – Jilin Province Information Technology Innovation Industrial Park – and jointly promote the research, development, production and sales of on-board computers and automotive electronic systems.
