China FAW Group Corporation, a major auto manufacturer based in Changchun, Northeast China's Jilin province, produced a total of 243,836 completed vehicles and sold 232,345 completed vehicles in July, setting a record high.

During the month, there were 27,598 Hongqi vehicles produced, a year-on-year increase of 33.7 percent; and a total of 25,453 Hongqi vehicles sold, a year-on-year increase of 45.4 percent.

The Jiefang brand produced 20,634 vehicles and sold 19,978 vehicles in July.

The Besturn brand produced 6,482 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 234.1 percent, and sold 4,157 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 22.2 percent.
