Visitor reception over 1 million in Anhui Pavilion
Updated: 2010-07-12

More than 25,000 visitors visited Anhui Pavilion on July 6, making it the most visited day, with the total tourist number surging to 1.02 million, according to the figure collected by electric counters stationed at the pavilion's entrance.

Despite the Pavilion’s remote and isolated location—away from main entrances and passages--- Anhui Pavilion has managed to attract numerous visitors with its unique charm, making it one of the most popular attractions among the other Chinese provincial or municipal pavilions.

The theme, "Hui culture makes life colorful-without a Huizhou businessman, there will be no towns," further embodies the 2010 Shanghai Expo slogan, which in the meantime, showcases local culture and unique features of Anhui. When the theme was first put forward, it was highly applauded by leaders, experts and scholars of the Shanghai Expo Organizing Committee.

Efficient management of tourist flow such as allowing them to enter in batches was another effective way in improving the visitor’s experience to the pavilion. The method, as it proved, ensures the quality of the tour, so that visitors are able to enjoy the extensive and profound Hui culture, the digitalized splendid landscapes and the province’s prosperous development. It has successfully fulfilled its role in introducing and promoting Anhui through the Shanghai Expo.

Anhui Pavilion has also garnered many praises from visitors. "Anhui Pavilion is excellent"," Anhui Pavilion is beyond comparison among the pavilions of provinces", remarks like that can be easily found in the visitors' feedbacks. Even officials from other provincial pavilions and national pavilions went to visit Anhui Pavilion several times, and have described it as “tranquil, elegant and harmonious”.
