Anhui province is seeking new tourism ties with Singapore and Malaysia. An inaugural five-hour flight from Hefei in Anhui province to Changi Airport in Singapore arrived on Aug 29. The plane carried a delegation from Anhui province to seek cooperation and investments in Singapore and Malaysia during the delegation’s stay from Aug 29 to Sept 3.
On Aug 30, the Anhui Tourism Product Illustration Session and Tourism Investment Symposium were held at the Singapore Mandarin Orchard Hotel and, on Sept 1, the two meetings were held at the Malaysia Evergreen Laurel Hotel.
During the two meetings, representatives of the Anhui’s tourism enterprises promoted the province’s products. Sang Linbing, director of Hefei Tourism Administration, made vivid introductions to the city’s abundant tourist resources and its economic potential. Over 60 Singaporean and Malaysian travel agencies and media groups attended the meetings and responded positively after watching a series of promotional videos of Anhui.
