Wetlands are the transitional zone between terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. Submerged under water, the wetland is home to an abundance of typical wetland foliage.
Wetlands can be seen in many countries and regions around the world, and they’re one of the most important ecosystems on earth. Wetlands are home to a variety of wild animals and botanic resources. Many rare waterfowls live exclusively in wetlands, which is why they are known as a "wonderland for birds."
The Daishan Lake Park is the largest wetland park in Anhui province. Covering an area of 3,000 mu (200 hectares), the park is world-renowned as the "wetland heaven" and a "heaven for birds". The park is home to hundreds of species of birds, including more than 80 types of rare birds and about 20,000 species, such as aigrettes, herons, Larus Saundersi, mandarin ducks, cranes, and swans.
Deep in the reeds, thousands of birds twitter and dance on the clear, shimmering water, forming a harmonious picture of nature.
