Anhui Fragrant Hot Spring Spa Resort is located in Xiangquan town in Hexian county in the Anhui province city of Chaohu. It is about an hour’s drive from the ancient city of Nanjing in Jiangsu province and Anhui’s capital city of Hefei.
"The mountains are not high, but beautiful. The water is not deep, but vast,” resort officials say. The resort is endowed with exceptional natural tourist resources. Mountains, waters, valleys, forests, hot springs, cold springs and lakes are all a part of the resort.
Fragrant Hot Spring Valley has a unique egret habitat, where thousands of egrets live. The egret is bird under Class-2 protection by the country and is known as the “environment protector”. The birds perch proudly on tree branches in early morning, return at dusk. They fly above fields and even can be seen resting on the backs of local cattle. From the balcony of the main building of the resort, you can appreciate the view of flocks of egrets in the sky.
The historical culture pool zone is the main pool area, and was a favorite of ancient dynasties of China. The zone features 11 different pools, a rest corridor and a performance stage. The Tang Dynasty Pool is decorated with a statue of “Goddess of Spring”, Imperial Concubine Yang.
The regional cultures pool zone celebrates the spirits of the five lakes celebrated through history. The blood of a dragon is said to flow through Sun Moon Lake.
The Six-Blessings Spring is where health care treatment is a focus. Health is considered one of the six blessings of a home, according to Chinese legend, and so this spa offers carefully prepared Chinese herbal medicines designed to promote good health.
The entertainment pool zone integrates ancient and modern health facilities.
The Supreme Spring Zone features eight sets of indoor hot springs. Here, drinking tea made with healthy spring water has been loved by visitors since ancient times.
