Residents of Hefei will now be able to enjoy more convenient train journeys to other cities, as high-speed train lines connecting Hefei with Changsha, Ningbo and Wenzhou have now opened, following the implementation of a new plan on July 1.
In addition, high-speed trains from Hefei to Hangzhou will no longer be making a detour around Shanghai, saving at least half an hour.
There are now four scheduled train departures from Hefei to Changsha every day, of which three are newly added high-speed trains, G579, G252 and G577, which take only three hours and fifty-nine minutes. The high-speed trains from Hefei to Wenzhou are: G7668, G7664 and G7672, and the journey can take as little as five hours and thirty-three minutes.
Thirteen new scheduled trains are now leaving Hefei for Ningbo every day and the slowest one K655 takes nine hours and fifty-four minutes, and the fastest one G7680 takes only three hours and thirty-six minutes.
A total of 27 new scheduled trains are now travelling from Hefei to Hangzhou on a daily basis, with the slowest 2191 taking six hours fifty-nine minutes, and the fastest G588 only taking two hours and eighteen minutes.
