UNESCO selects Huangshan as geopark expert

Huangshan Mountain Geopark was recently invited for the first time to join an evaluation of a European geopark as a UNESCO expert. Representatives from Huangshan will have a say in whether Italy's Sesia-Valgrand Geopark can join the global geopark network. The invitation marks UNESCO's recognition of Huangshan Mountain Geopark's development and reputation.

The expatriate experts were recommended by the network center of national geological parks. They are now official evaluators of world geological parks, suggesting Huangshan's more active role in the study and management of world geological parks.
