Still undecided on where to spend your National Day holiday? Consider a leisure trip specially launched for the holiday by Baohe district, Hefei city, on September 24.
Since May Day this year, passenger liners on Chaohu Lake have been available to visitors. On the first and last day of this National Day holiday, Travel-1, a three-story luxury yacht, will be open to tourists, with tickets priced at 165 yuan ($26.96) each. Compared with Travel-2, the new yacht is better, and more luxuriously, equipped. Passengers of the Travel-1 yacht will be able to have a bird’s eye view from the deck, or enjoy entertainment facilities such as karaoke on board. The Travel-2 and other small yachts will also be open during the holiday.
As one of the three brightest spots around Chaohu Lake, the Niujiao Embankment will officially open this National Day holiday. From October 1 to 4, visitors who drive to Binhu Wetland Park can enjoy free vehicle testing services.
Collectors will not want to miss the 'Jianghuai treasure appraisal', which will enter the River-Crossing Battle Memorial Hall on September 26. Experts will be invited to appraise treasures for citizens at no charge.
On October 1, Baogong Park (a park in memory of Baozheng, a Chinese official in the Song Dynasty, AD 420-479, well known for his uprightness and wisdom) will hold a photo exhibition themed around the history of the park.
During the holiday, all kinds of rural cuisine and lake food can be found in Baohu district.
