Starting October 18, the 2013 China Robot Contest and RoboCup Open Tournament will be taking place in the city of Hefei, Anhui province. Hefei citizens will be able to enjoy robot football matches, robot dances and even robot cooking performances.

The annual robot contest is the most influential and authoritative competition for robots in China. This is the 14th time the contest will be held. It will take place on the new campus of Anhui University of Architecture (292 Ziyun Road) from October 18 to October 20.

By October 8, 2,962 people from 180 colleges in China have registered for the contest. The contest events will take place mainly on October 19 and 20. In addition to various competitions, there will also be robots performing home services, dances and martial arts.
