Balihe scenic spot held an unveiling ceremony to recognize its designation as a national 5A scenic spot in the county of Yingshang, Fuyang city, Anhui province, on October 22.

Zhang Wuyang, vice-secretary of the Anhui Provincial People’s Government; Hu Xuefan, director of the Anhui Tourism Bureau; Li Pin, mayor of Fuyang; Chen Lei, vice-director of the Anhui Tourism Bureau; Huang Zhen, vice-mayor of Fuyang; and Liu Shusheng, Party chief of Yingshang county, attended the ceremony.

The Balihe scenic spot, which is located in Yingshang county, Anhui province, was recently upgraded to a 5A scenic spot by the State Tourism Bureau. Now there are seven 5A scenic spots in Anhui.

The Balihe scenic spot covers an area of 240 hectares. Its main zone is built on the area’s marshes. The scenic spot was awarded many honors in recent years, and recognition as a model spot for national agricultural tourism. The success of the Balihe scenic spot will play an important role in tourism development in northern Anhui.

The 5A scenic spots in Anhui include Huangshan Mountain, Jiuhua Mountain, Tianzhu Mountain, Xidi and Hongcun, Tiantangzhai, Longchuan in Jixi county and Balihe.
