On October 23, Bao Gong Temple in Hefei city, Anhui province received a distinguished guest: Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
During his one-and-a-half-hour visit, Medvedev visited the sculpture of Bao Gong and learnt about Bao Gong's life. When he arrived at the square in front of Bao Gong Temple at 2:42 pm, he received a warm welcome from waiting citizens. The prime minister praised the odor of the temple and the environment of Hefei city. He later gave a 20-minute interview where he introduced Bao Gong, the Chinese epitome for upright officials, to Russia.
After a brief visit, Medvedev went to the Huilan Corridor and enjoyed a tea ceremony. Under the guidance of tea specialists, he learnt to make and appreciate tea in the Chinese way, accompanied by a zheng (Chinese zither) performance.
