Qianqiu Bridge reopens after repairs
Qianqiu Bridge

The ancient Qianqiu Bridge in the county of Xiuning, Huangshan city, Anhui province, reopened to the public on November 2 after repairs.

According to historical records, the bridge was constructed in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Being the longest Ming Dynasty bridge preserved in Xiuning county, it’s a major historical and cultural site protected by Huangshan city.

The Anhui Transportation Bureau allocated 2.4 million yuan ($394,000) on bridge repairs. The maintenance work started in July and finished at the beginning of November.
