By Nov 18, a total of 51 km of a greenway has been finished in the city of Hefei, capital of Anhui province. The other 30 km will be finished by the end of this year. By then, the city will have constructed 81 km of greenway in 2013, according to the Hefei municipal urban planning bureau.

The new greenway will cover four areas, Chaohu city, Feidong county, Binhu new area and the political new area. The greenway in Chaohu and Binhu new area has been finished.

The greenway construction project in Feidong county will help connect the whole greenway system through a 10.3-km greenway, which is also a crucial part in the Chaohu Lake Ring Greenway. Kuanghe River Road, in the political new area, will begin from the intersection of Qianshan Road and Xiuning Road in the north and run through to West Huaining Road, Xiyou Road and Qianshan Road.

With the completion of the city's overall greenway plan, Hefei will continue to improve the plan by combining greenway construction and the construction of the city's slow-driving system, creating more ecological, social and economic efficiency.
