The service hotline for Anhui’s expressway 12122 started trial operations on January 16, the first day of the Spring Festival travel rush. The hotline provides traffic conditions and emergency relief as well as handles complaints.

The transport office, public security department and telecommunication management bureau of Anhui province introduced the service hotline to provide the public with a convenient channel for dynamic information of the expressway grid. It also serves as a platform to handle emergencies.

Drivers and passengers can dial 12122 whenever they have emergencies on the expressway within Anhui province. They can receive a prompt response, diversion handling and real-time feedback. The expressway police, road administration and operating body will cooperate to provide help and rescue services.

In the early stage, 12122 will operate simultaneously with other hotlines such 96566. In the future, all the hotlines will be integrated into the 12122 number.
