By the end of this June, an updated form of tourist contract will be fully implemented in Anhui province.

The National Tourism Administration and the State Administration for Industry & Commerce have jointly issued a series of revisions to former tourist contracts. According to the revisions, travel agencies who abandon their services will have to make compensation of up to three times value of the tour; tourists who conduct "uncivilized" deeds can be dismissed from the group; and shopping plans have to be included in the contract.

The new contract form has already been brought into effect, but old contracts can still apply till June 30, provided they have been revised to conform with the new ones. The revised parts cannot exempt or reduce the agencies' obligations.
