Zhongguancun has developed and produced a string of high-end equipment at an international advanced level.

In the field of high-end machinery equipment, the Beijing No 1 Machine Tool Plant and Sany Heavy Machinery Co Ltd have developed a five-axis lathe and milling multiplicate cutting machine with the longest gantry in the world and Asia’s largest rotary drilling rig and firefighting devices for super high rise buildings.

The rail transit automation system of HollySys is applied in high-speed railways, the communication-based train control system (CBTC) of Beijing Traffic Control Technology Co Ltd and the middle and low-speed maglev transport system of Beijing Magnetic Technology Development Co Ltd are applied in the construction of Beijing Light Rail.

The core TFT-LCD technology and process of BOE Co Ltd enables the Chinese panel display technology to leap from introduction to the independent development. Zhongkexin is China’s only photovoltaic equipment supplier with the ability to undertake turnkey projects.

In the next decade, the park will stick to a “high end, light weight and intelligence” development direction to develop IC, rail transit, and UHV power transmission and distribution sections, including large-angle ion implanters, urban mass transit vehicles and operation control system, wind power variable frequency control system, high-voltage high-power variable frequency speed regulation and other major and key technologies and assembly equipment.

The park will also raise its capacity of R&D, system design and general contract of technical service, and will provide support to key Chinese projects and related industries.
