Li Zhiliang

Li worked successively in Roche Holding AG, Overseas Pharmaceutical, and as a Volvo Consultant in the United States. In 2006, he returned to China to found AutekBio (Beijing), Inc.

Li Zhiliang was born in 1964 in Guangzhou, Guangdong province. He obtained both a bachelor's and master's degree in biochemistry at the Zhongshan University in 1985 and 1988 respectively.

While studying for his doctor's degree, Li was recruited by the University of Southern California as a post-doctoral personnel. He was in charge of one of the seven central labs subsidized by NIH of the United States to develop the latest HIV/AIDS diagnosis methods. He made great contributions to effective treatment of HIV/AIDS. In 2002, Li received an MBA degree in Michigan University.

Li worked successively in Roche Holding AG, Overseas Pharmaceutical, and as a Volvo Consultant in the United States. In 2006, he returned to China to found AutekBio (Beijing), Inc.

In 2008, Li was rated as an excellent returned overseas student after setting up business in Zhongguancun. In 2009, he was employed by the Haidian District Science and Technology Committee as an expert for the Guidance of Key Technological Developments (2009-2013). In 2010, he was selected to participate in the One Thousand Talents Program of the central government.

Li holds concurrent posts of an MBA guest scientist to the Beijing Normal University, a distinguished professor of the Shanghai National Engineering Research Center for the biochip program, and as the deputy director of China Virus Biotechnology National Engineering Research Center. He also works as an executive member of the China Outsourcing League, director of the American branch of Western Returned Scholars Association, president of the Beijing branch of fellow students association of Michigan University, and a member of the youth committee at the Western Returned Scholars Association.
