Cheng Jing has been the main planner of Newman since its inception in 1997. She has been crucial in transforming the venture into a brand-name company. In 2006, she became the company's chief operating officer, in charge of overall management and operation of Newman's two independent innovation products companies.

She led the team in developing many high-tech products and obtained a number of patents, setting up new domestic and international channels for the company.
