China's first logistics information platform, based on Beidou's satellite navigation system, has been successfully installed by a mining group in Jinzhong city, Shanxi province, according to the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee.
The platform was developed by Institute 706 of the Second Academy of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC), a large state-owned high-tech enterprise in Zhongguancun Science Park.
It consists of several subsystems, including management systems for vehicle registration, logistics planning, coal loading, road monitoring and coal unloading.
Each subsystem is connected with a scheduling command center through an integrated information service platform for coal logistics, bringing accurate statistics of coal production and volumes, electronic supervision, real-time monitoring and rapid clearance of coal vehicles.
