The list of "2014 Zhongguancun Top 100 high-growth enterprises" was unveiled in Beijing on Aug 8, Beijing Daily reported on Monday.
Companies on the list were divided into four levels according to their revenue last year. Each of them achieved an annual income of no less than 30 million yuan ($4.87 million). They have a total of 3,099 patents, of which 1,733 of them are patents for inventions.
What's more, companies that have been running for five years or more accounted for 96 percent of the total and 18 of them are listed companies.
These high-growth enterprises, which cover seven emerging industries, including energy saving and the environmental protection industry, the information industry, biological industry, new energy vehicles industry, high-end equipment manufacturing industry and new materials industry, have lots in common. They all possess core technologies, independent innovation abilities and excellent management teams.
Founded in 2009, the annual award is one of the most authoritative and credible public activities in Zhongguancun, and has been widely recognized by all circles of society.
