A seminar on innovation and entrepreneurship was held at Beihang University in Beijing, on Aug 31, Beijing Daily reported on Monday.

Participants suggested establishing an innovation platform by the government, universities and enterprises. They also discussed how to integrate the new way for innovation and entrepreneurship with technology, markets and capital.

A total of ten new technologies developed by Beihang were unveiled at the seminar.

Beijing has created a good environment for colleges and universities to apply their scientific research achievements in social and economic development, according to Gou Zhongwen, a member of the standing committee of Beijing's municipal Party committee.

The event was organized by Beihang University, the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee and Haidian district government.
