Guo Xinping, director of the Zhongguancun Information and Technology Industry Association and president of Beijing Hezhongsizhuang Technological Corporation said that the professional commission will solve the core problem of building smart cities.
The association gathers scientific research institutions and corporations from each step of the industrial chain. The institutions and corporations will cooperate to establish a smart city ecological circle.
The professional commission will be based on the association and cooperate with regional governments and organizations to connect with local smart city markets. Serving regional smart city establishments, the commission will integrate innovation, cooperation, and mutual benefits.
Xuan Hong, deputy director of the Zhongguancun Administrative Commission, explained that Zhongguancun takes high end positions in the information industry, has the most complete industrial chain, and the strongest development. The Zhongguancun Administrative Commission supports the associated corporations to realize integrated innovation and cross industrial cooperation.
Tong Tengfei, director of the Beijing Economy and Information Commission said that the city highly emphasizes the establishment of smart cities and has published a detailed proposal to boost smart Beijing.
The spatial information infrastructure is a major part of the establishment of smart Beijing. Many members of the professional commission have played important roles and received great results, according to Tong.
The professional commission was established by nine core enterprises of the spatial information industry. Six were listed companies.
