The Z-Park Sky Innovations General Aviation Industrial Alliance and Sky Innovation Co., Ltd. of Plano, Texas in the US, held a joint press conference at the Aircraft Association (EAA) in the US on July 26 local time to announce the establishment of the Z-Park aviation alliance.
The head office of the alliance will be located at the "Chinese Silicon Valley" -- Zhongguancun Science Park-- and will open in September.
The alliance is intended to create a diversified platform for more rapid expansion of China's aviation industry. It will consist of more than 60 organizations such as the leading general aviation companies and research institutions in China and some nonprofit organizations.
Dong Yongsheng, the secretary-general of the Z-Park alliance, said an alliance is an industrial cluster.
He also mentioned the alliance's top four missions -- promoting international communication and cooperation, hastening the integration of general aviation and related industries, pioneering industrial standards and generally bolstering the aviation industry.
The new alliance is planning to conduct several activities globally, including the building of an alliance mansion and the establishment of an aviation innovation center, an aviation industrial service center and an international cooperation center.
At the press conference, Timothy T. Archer, the CEO of Sky Innovation, outlined the Chinese general aviation market and said his company would help to promote Chinese aviation enterprises to the world.
He also said the newly established Chinese alliance will become a bridge between China and the US on general aviation issues and will provide Chinese aviation enterprises with more international co-operation opportunities.
