JD.com has showcased its latest technology in warehouse logistics and distribution, from unmanned picking and order systems to remote delivery drones.

The display from the e-commerce retailer was one of the highlights at the 2017 National Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week, held in Beijing's Zhongguancun Science Park from Sept 15 to 21.

Drones, unmanned small-sized vehicles and automatic guided vehicles (AGV) are all being applied to JD's industrial chain in order to make its business at the cutting edge as the retail and delivery industry continues to transform.

It can automatically unload and is monitored throughout its flight, making it suitable for deliveries in remote areas.
