Wenjiang's students stand out in science knowledge competition

The third Chengdu “Junior Copernicus” Scientific Knowledge Contest was held on Oct 11, with the team from Wenjiang district winning the golden medal after three rounds of fierce competition.

“There are 21 teams from different regions of Chengdu taking part in the contest. Each team has two pupils and one middle school student. All three players in the team are supposed to answer the questions separately and then the scores will be summed up,” an organizer explained. “The questions are mainly about science in daily life, and are both interesting and useful. The level of difficulty is basically in accordance with the players’ knowledge.”

Students from Wenjiang district topped the game with a safe lead in the scoring. Teams from Pixian county, Jinjiang district and Wuhou district, following Wenjiang, all won the first prize in the contest.
